1994 was a fantastic year for pop music. The singles chart was vibrant, it was diverse with
a couple of reggae hits, a novelty football song, Mariah Carey with a brilliant cover song,
and then there was Whigfield. Dance music was already tearing up the charts with a new form
of music, rave music, going mainstream. In the days before Cowell’s domination, there was a
